Update: Schools are closed tomorrow, Tuesday, October 8th
No school tomorrow due to Hurricane Milton.
Important: MCS will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday due to Hurricane Milton. Friday is already a student holiday, so no school on Friday.
Our ELC program will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday afternoon, so we can secure our campus. ALL afterschool activities tomorrow are cancelled.

The Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday continues through Sunday, August 11. It is designed to help Florida families save money on essential items students need for the upcoming year. It includes items such as Up to $1,500 for personal computers, tablets electronic book readers, headphones and related accessories; school supplies selling for $50 or less, such as binders, notebooks, folders, markers and pencils; backpacks, clothing and footwear up to $100; and learning aids and related resources such as flashcards, interactive books and matching games selling for $30 or less.
Breakfast and Lunch will be free for all students for the upcoming year.
Substitutes Needed! Please contact Marisol Vela, Office Manager, at velam@lake.k12.fl.us if you are interested in becoming a substitute. You will need a high school diploma or higher, drug test, and background check. Pay is $13.34 an hour for high school diploma, $16 an hour for associates, and $18 for bachelors or higher. Caring and supportive substitutes are essential to the school. Set your own days of availability! Lesson plans provided by the teacher.
