Today's Choice for Tomorrow's Future

Administrative Deans

David Hamilton

I was born and raised in Oklahoma and always considered Tulsa as my “home town” until I moved to Clearwater, Florida in October of 2001.  Florida has become home and I really don’t want to call anywhere else home. I believe that there are two kinds of people in the world, those who read stories and those who make stories.  I’ve always leaned towards the “Let’s go make a story” side of the page.

I have my Bachelors of Science from Texas Christian University. I completed my M.A.T. in Curriculum and Instructional Leadership from the University of Memphis. I am currently writing my dissertation to complete my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.

This is my 20th year in the education arena. I served both independent and public schools in Tennessee as educator and administrator. I taught in Pinellas County for 14 years and came to Minneola Charter in 2020.  I truly believe I have won the lottery getting to be a part of this incredible school. My educational philosophy can be summed up in the ideal that “it’s a sin to bore a kid.” I always desire for my classes to be dynamic and engaging. We learn and we have fun doing it.

The lovely Mrs. Hamilton and I have three grown children. When not at school or writing, I can be found playing a guitar, riding a bike, or chasing a golf ball. I am also known for hiking in the mountains of North Carolina or sitting on a deserted beach. Spending time with our family is very important to us and we make time to see our children and our parents. We are very active in our local church, First Orlando.

My responsibilities this school year include:
· Middle Grades 7th grade B Team
· 8th grade A & B Teams
· Operations including buildings and grounds
· Technology
· Registration
· Buses

When I am not at school, I am with my wonderful family. My wife and I have been a part of the Minneola community for over 20 years and are happy to call this town home.
